Eines dieser Unternehmen ist Gambio, Anbieter einer Shopsoftware für Online-Händler:innen. Für das Entwicklungsteam von Gambio mit 6 bis 10 Personen suchen wir dich als PHP Developer (m/w/d). Neben der Arbeit im Homeoffice triffst du dein Team bei gelegentlichen Teamtreffen und Firmenevents auch persönlich.

Since 2021, we have been building a platform of leading software products from our headquarters in Krefeld, enabling online retailers to maximize their business potential. ECOMMERCE ONE currently comprises six leading SaaS software providers offering solutions for online retailers. We invest in successful software companies with the goal of creating added value for the online retail sector, fostering synergies, and driving growth.

One of these companies is Gambio, a provider of shop software for online retailers. We are looking for a PHP Developer (m/f/d) to join Gambio's development team of 6 to 10 people. Alongside working from home, you will meet your team in person at occasional team meetings and company events.

• Du setzt neue Funktionen für die Gambio Shopsoftware auf Basis unserer Produkt-Roadmap um, vom Konzept bis zum Release, und bringst eigene Ideen für die Weiterentwicklung ein
• Du erweiterst unsere REST-API, unser Event-System und unsere Integrationen, zum Beispiel zu Zahlungsanbietern, Marktplätzen, Versanddienstleistern und Warenwirtschaftssystemen
• Du findest und behebst Fehler, auch im Austausch mit unserem Support
• Du schreibst automatisierte Tests und prüfst Code deiner Kolleginnen und Kollegen in Code Reviews
• Du arbeitest in einem agilen Team eng mit Product Ownern und QA zusammen

Je nach Erfahrung kannst du außerdem:

• technische Entscheidungen treffen und die Architektur der Shopsoftware mitgestalten
• die fachliche Verantwortung für die REST-API, das Event-System und unsere Integrationen übernehmen
• planen, wie wir gewachsenen Code Schritt für Schritt modernisieren, und das mit dem Team umsetzen
• jüngere Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler begleiten, zum Beispiel durch Code Reviews und Pair Programming

• You implement new features for the Gambio shop software based on our product roadmap, from concept to release, and contribute your own ideas for its further development
• You extend our REST API, our event system, and our integrations, for example with payment providers, marketplaces, shipping services, and ERP systems
• You find and fix bugs, working closely with our support team
• You write automated tests and review your colleagues' code
• You work in an agile team together with product owners and QA

Depending on your experience, you can also:

• make technical decisions and help shape the architecture of the shop software
• take ownership of the REST API, the event system, and our integrations
• plan how to modernize existing code step by step and carry this out with the team
• support less experienced developers, for example through code reviews and pair programming

DEIN PROFIL / YOUR PROFILE

• Du hast Berufserfahrung in der PHP-Entwicklung und arbeitest sicher mit PHP 8 und objektorientierter Programmierung
• Du kennst dich mit MySQL/MariaDB, Git und Composer aus
• Du hast Erfahrung mit REST-APIs und Standards wie OAuth
• Du hast bereits mit automatisierten Tests (z. B. PHPUnit) und CI-Pipelines gearbeitet und kennst Docker
• Du bist offen dafür, KI-Werkzeuge in deiner täglichen Arbeit einzusetzen
• Erfahrung mit Shopsoftware wie Gambio, Shopware, Magento oder WooCommerce ist ein Plus
• Du arbeitest selbstständig und kommunizierst klar, auch im verteilten Team
• Du sprichst fließend Englisch
• Uns ist deine praktische Erfahrung wichtiger als Abschlüsse oder Zertifikate

Ein Plus ist, wenn du:

• mehrere Jahre Erfahrung hast und bereits größere Projekte technisch verantwortet hast
• Architekturentscheidungen getroffen hast und sie gut begründen kannst
• Erfahrung darin hast, älteren Code zu modernisieren, ohne den laufenden Betrieb zu gefährden
• dein Wissen gern weitergibst

• You have professional experience in PHP development and are confident with PHP 8 and object-oriented programming
• You are familiar with MySQL/MariaDB, Git, and Composer
• You have experience with REST APIs and standards such as OAuth
• You have worked with automated tests (e.g. PHPUnit) and CI pipelines and know Docker
• You are open to using AI tools in your daily work
• Experience with shop software such as Gambio, Shopware, Magento, or WooCommerce is a plus
• You work independently and communicate clearly in a distributed team
• You speak English fluently
• Your practical experience matters more to us than degrees or certificates

Nice to have:

• Several years of experience, including technical responsibility for larger projects
• Experience making architecture decisions and explaining them clearly
• Experience modernizing legacy code without disrupting production
• Enjoyment in sharing your knowledge
