As the one-stop-shop leader for traffic management systems, sensor products, and services, Econolite is committed to the advancement of connected and autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and cybersecurity.\nThe Assembly Technician is responsible for the precise assembly, wiring, and integration of electronic components and metallic cabinets used in Econolite’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) products. This role involves tasks such as cable routing, wire harnessing, hardware installation, and functional testing, with a focus on quality, safety, and adherence to documented procedures. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is mechanically inclined, and has a strong attention to detail-especially when working with electrical parts.\nDUTIES\nBuild electrical parts, including wire harnesses, and route cables inside cabinets.\nAssemble metal cabinets according to work instructions and quality standards.\nPerform a range of assembly line tasks, from basic to detailed work, with care and accuracy.\nFollow all safety rules, work procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe, organized workplace.\nInspect parts for defects and report issues promptly to support product quality.\nAssist with packing and labeling products as needed.\nSupport other teams or departments when additional help is required.\nMaintain tools and store them properly.\nKeep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.\nTrain on additional tasks or specialized assignments that require close attention to detail.\nKeeps a clean, organized work area in line with 5S and safety standards.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n2+ years of experience in electronic and mechanical product assembly preferred.\nExperience reading electronic schematics and wiring diagrams preferred. \nTechnical training and IPC 620 certification preferred.\nDexterity with hand tools, hand soldering equipment, and other standard electronic assembly tools.\nAble to read and follow written work instructions with strong attention to detail.\nWork well in a team environment and communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.\nBasic computer skills including sending and receiving emails, data entry, and viewing work instructions.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nStand, walk, squat, kneel, bend at the waist for extended periods of time.\nHandle small components and use hand tools effectively for extended periods.\nPerform repetitive tasks such as screwing, soldering, and wiring.\nPush, pull, carry, and lift up to 35 pounds.\nWork involves handling electrical components and following electrical safety procedures.\nPRE-EMPLOYMENTAll candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe base pay range for this full-time non-exempt position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nBENEFITS\nThis role is eligible for benefits: weekly pay, weekly PTO accrual, paid holidays.
