As the one-stop-shop leader for traffic management systems, sensor products, and services, Econolite is committed to the advancement of connected and autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and cybersecurity.\nUnder general direction, lead and support the ITS performing skilled work in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of traffic signals and other Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices.\nDUTIES\nInstallation, maintenance, replacement, programming, repair and troubleshooting of ITS equipment, including CCTV cameras, video detection, radar detection, loop detectors, dynamic message signs, connected vehicle RSU’s, poles, etc. and associated cabinets, cabling, etc. Also to include communications equipment such as managed field ethernet switches, fiber, copper, etc.\nField implementation of traffic control devices as needed (signs, cones, etc.)\nIncludes driving / operation of a bucket truck for traffic signal and ITS maintenance duties\nPerform all job functions of ITS Technician and any other assignments as requested\nMay require on-call on-site response for customer call outs, including nights and weekends\nMay include travel within Florida and / or within the US\nServes as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise\nPerforms other duties as required and assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nFive (5) years of related experience\nIMSA Level II or IMSA Level III certification preferred; FDOT Temporary Traffic Control Certification preferred; Electrician License preferred.\nKnowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations\nKnowledge of tools, equipment, practices, and methods used in installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals, ITS devices and associated equipment\nKnowledge of fiber optic cable & networking equipment, Fiber training preferred\nAbility to interpret design schematics, site plans, maps, and engineering drawings\nMust have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable DMV record; commercial driver’s license preferred\nAbility to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds.) \nComputer software skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications such as MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.\nBUSINESS TRAVEL & HOURS\n100% travel to project locations and company facilities across the various counties within the Tampa, FL area.\nSome or all hours may be during 3rd shift\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to stand, walk, squat, and bend at the waist for extended periods of time\nSafety sensitive position-will be required to work at busy traffic intersections\nRequired to drive up to five hours a day; ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds\nMay work in various, changing outdoor weather conditions, i.e. rain, heat, snow, etc.\nPRE-EMPLOYMENT\nAll candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. For applicable roles, candidates who accept employment will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle/Driving Record screening.
