Read on to learn more about the opportunity and how you can have a positive impact!\n\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our LMS (Learning Management System) team at EcoOnline.\nThis is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you’ll work across the full stack using Laravel (PHP) and Vue.js, while also owning architecture, guiding technical decisions, and supporting the team.\nYou’ll play a key role in evolving a mature product, delivering new features, improving performance and scalability, and shaping how the system develops over time.\nThis is not a traditional people management role. Leadership comes through hands-on engineering, mentoring, and technical influence, with the expectation that you remain close to the code.\nYou’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, CloudOps and Engineering teams, while also engaging with the wider engineering organisation through knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn and evolve system architecture and technical direction\n\nWork hands-on across the codebase (Laravel + Vue.js)\n\nLead delivery of new features and product roadmap initiatives\n\nImprove performance, scalability and reliability of the system\n\nMentor and support engineers through day-to-day collaboration\n\nGuide technical decisions and establish best practices\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams across the business\n\nContribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nStrong full-stack experience with PHP (Laravel) and modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js preferred)\n\nProven experience working on complex or long-running systems\n\nStrong understanding of system architecture, REST APIs and application design\n\nExperience improving performance, scalability and reliability\n\nAbility to mentor and guide engineers in a hands-on environment\n\nComfortable taking ownership and working in evolving environments\n\nImportant to note:\nThis is a highly hands-on role, not suited to candidates looking to step away from coding\n\nLeadership is primarily mentorship-led, with flexibility to take on more formal leadership responsibilities over time\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with AWS, Docker or Kubernetes\n\nExperience working in smaller or evolving teams\n\nExperience with LMS or e-learning platforms\n\nOur Benefits:\nWe offer a variety of global benefits which are listed below!
