Additional responsibilities will include: assistance with creating SOP and other production related documentation, inventory data-entry and cross-training into other job functions as needed. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings. \nDuties and Responsibilities: \n“E”ssential \n“S”econdary \n% of Time\nDescription \nE \n45% \nSet-up, operate, troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to the Mixer machine following established procedures and guidelines with minimal supervision to mix/mold material. \nConduct a visual inspection and perform general preventive maintenance of the mixer and press area \nReview order and verify all EPDM & formulas are correct/match \nGather all necessary materials \nRead/review formula, weigh out materials and place in auger \nPump oil & water as necessary per formula specifications \nOperate the Mixer control panel \nWait required time for mixture to complete \nPour mixture into mold \nUsing chain crane, place lid on mold \nUsing hydraulic press, press mold to proper length \nOperate (Mixer, Scale, Press, Mold Lift, Hoists, and Polymer System); Clean as per manufacture specification and SOP \nE \n18% \nAdhere to and follow all quality guidelines. Continually check product for quality throughout the manufacturing process. \nE \n10% \nOperate hoist, hydraulic press, bucket truck and fork truck to lift/transport raw materials and finished products while adhering to all power industrial equipment rules and safety requirements \nE \n10% \nMaintain clean work environment by wiping down machine and cleaning work area with air hose after each order; operate grinding machine as necessary; maintain machine as required and reporting any maintenance issues immediately to supervisor and maintenance department \nE \n5% \nTransfer and separate EPDM bags per mold specification; open bags and pour into hopper \n5% \nUtilize computer at workstation to login, enter/review production data and work orders as required \nE \n5% \nProvides constant communication with the management staff concerning the production status of high-end quality oriented materials \nE \n2% \nCross-train into other job functions providing assistance as necessary within the department \n100%\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: \nHigh School Diploma/GED or 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required \nEnglish fluency (read, write, speak); ability to communicate well (written/verbal) \nForklift certification/experience desired; bucket truck experience preferred \nPrevious manufacturing experience required; Previous machine specific experience preferred \nProven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands \nRead and understand units of measure \nAbility to perform basic math functions \nDemonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred \nMust be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner \nMust be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements \nAble to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role\nWork Environment: \nThe work environment characteristics below are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. \nManufacturing Environment: This position may operate in a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment).
