The headquarters of the bank is in Lomé in the Togolese Republic.\n\nWe are recruiting a qualified person who is a citizen of the Community to fill the vacancy in the Professional Staff category:\n\nJob Title: Head, Structured Finance Unit\n\nLocation: Lome, Togolese Republic\n\nSummary\n\n Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Operations, the Head of the Structured Finance Unit will lead the origination, structuring and execution of complex financing solutions for public- and private-sector operations.\n\n The incumbent will also mobilise co-financing, provide financial advisory services and oversee the restructuring or refinancing of eligible transactions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Develop and implement the Bank's structured finance strategy, operational framework, work programme and relevant financial products.\n\n Originate, assess and structure complex public- and private-sector transactions, including the preparation and review of financial models, financing plans, risk-allocation mechanisms and term sheets.\n\n Lead syndications, co-financing and capital mobilisation initiatives involving commercial banks, development finance institutions, institutional investors and other financing partners.\n\n Provide high-level financial advisory services to governments, public institutions, state-owned enterprises and private-sector clients on project bankability, capital structure, financing strategy and debt sustainability.\n\n Lead the restructuring and refinancing of complex, distressed or underperforming transactions, in coordination with the Bank's relevant operational and support functions.\n\n Lead multidisciplinary transaction teams, present recommendations to the Bank's approval authorities, develop the technical capacity of the Unit and represent EBID in high-level negotiations with clients, governments, lenders and investors.\n\nQualifications \n\n Hold at least a Master's degree or equivalent advanced university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Financial Engineering, Investment Management or a closely related field.\n\n Have a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in structured finance, investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, syndications, capital markets or a related field.\n\n Demonstrate a strong track record in structuring and executing complex public- and private-sector transactions involving multiple financiers, instruments or categories of risk.\n\n Have proven experience in loan syndication, co- financing, risk distribution and the mobilisation of third-party capital.\n\n Demonstrate relevant experience in financial advisory services, debt restructuring and refinancing, particularly for governments, public institutions, state-owned enterprises or major corporate clients.\n\n Demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, commercial judgement, negotiation, client-relationship and multidisciplinary team-management skills.\n\n A relevant professional certification, such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, CA or FRM, would be an advantage\n\nOther Requirements:\n\n Be a national of West African States.\n\n Possess excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.\n\n Be proficient in English and French.
