ECT uses its on-call program to evaluate archaeological field technicians for full-time staff positions.\nThe archaeological field technician performs a variety of field survey tasks under the supervision of a senior archaeologist or field supervisor. This is an on-call position, meaning assignment length will vary, and applicants are required to travel to the job sites from their home locations.\nJob Description\nParticipate in Phase I, II, and III archaeological investigation\nCollect data using Esri Field Maps and Survey 123 applications \nPrepare detailed field notes, including plan and profile drawings.\nPreferred Experience and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field \nArchaeological field school experience preferable\nPreference given to those with prior CRM experience\nNon-degreed applicants with significant field experience and knowledge will also be considered\nAdditional Information:\nMust be able to walk up to five miles per day in sloped, heavily vegetated, or difficult terrain while carrying a 15-pound pack \nWorking in inclement weather conditions will be required\nDemonstrated work reliability\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation.\nWillingness and availability to travel, as needed\nWork is on-call, as needed. Acceptance into the qualified field technician pool/job offer is not a guarantee of hours, but the backlog is significant\n Compensation\n$20.00 to $30.00/hour, commensurate with experience. \nPaid travel time to and from the project\nIndividual hotel rooms\nPer diem and mileage reimbursed at the GSA rate with no receipts unless otherwise stipulated by contract or client. \nOvertime in excess of 40 hours/week compensated at 1.5 × hourly rate.\nEnvironmental Consulting & Technology, Inc.
