We are seeking an experienced Workday, Payroll & HRIS Specialist to support our global HR technology, payroll operations, employee data, and HR processes.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Workday, payroll operations, HR data management, and advanced Excel, along with a strong understanding of global HR processes. This role will partner closely with HR, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable HR operations.\nThe role will be responsible for Workday administration and data integrity, payroll-related processes and audits, reporting and analytics, process documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.\nWhat Your Impact Will Be\nWorkday Administration & HRIS Operations\nServe as a Workday subject matter expert and key point of contact for HR stakeholders.\nManage and support Workday processes across the employee lifecycle, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, organizational changes, and terminations.\nMaintain accurate and complete employee and organizational data in Workday.\nSupport Workday business processes, approvals, security, reporting, and data audits.\nTroubleshoot Workday issues and partner with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.\nSupport Workday releases, testing, enhancements, and system optimization.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify and automate HR processes using Workday and other technology solutions.\nPayroll Operations & Compliance Support\nSupport payroll processes across relevant geographies, working closely with payroll vendors, Finance, and HR teams.\nEnsure accurate and timely payroll inputs from Workday and other HR systems.\nPerform payroll data validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.\nInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee pay issues, and data-related errors.\nSupport payroll audits, year-end activities, reporting, and compliance requirements.\nPartner with Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accurate employee, compensation, deduction, and payroll data.\nSupport payroll-related Workday integrations and downstream systems.\nMaintain payroll process documentation and SOPs.\nReporting, Analytics & Advanced Excel\nDevelop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and HR analytics.\nUse advanced Excel to analyze, reconcile, and validate large HR and payroll datasets.\nCreate complex spreadsheets using functions such as XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF/IFS, Pivot Tables, and conditional logic.\nBuild data validation and reconciliation tools to identify discrepancies between Workday, payroll, and other systems.\nDevelop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to HR and business leaders.\nSupport workforce, payroll, compensation, headcount, and organizational reporting requirements.\nMaintain strong data integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.\nProcess Improvement & Automation\nIdentify opportunities to improve HR, Workday, payroll, and HRIS processes.\nStandardize and simplify processes across regions while accounting for local requirements.\nSupport automation initiatives using Workday, ServiceNow, Jira, Excel, and other technology platforms.\nDevelop and maintain detailed SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge resources.\nParticipate in HR technology projects, system enhancements, integrations, and process transformation initiatives.\nStay current with Workday functionality, payroll technology, HR technology, AI-enabled tools, and industry best practices.\nStakeholder & Cross-Functional Partnership\nPartner closely with HR, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, IT, and external vendors.\nAct as a trusted partner for resolving Workday, payroll, employee data, and HR technology issues.\nCommunicate issues, root causes, recommendations, and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.\nManage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.\nSupport global HR initiatives, organizational changes, acquisitions, and other HR transformation projects.\nWhat You Will Bring\n7-10+ years of experience in HRIS, Workday, Payroll, HR Operations, or a related field.\nStrong hands-on experience with Workday HCM and employee lifecycle processes.\nPractical experience supporting global payroll operations, payroll inputs, audits, reconciliations, and payroll data.\nExperience supporting HR technology across Americas, Europe, and India.\nStrong understanding of Workday business processes, reporting, data management, and system functionality.\nAdvanced Excel skills with strong experience in data analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and large datasets.\nExperience with Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, conditional formulas, data validation, and reporting.\nExperience working with payroll vendors and/or payroll systems is preferred.\nExperience with HR systems and integrations; exposure to ATS platforms such as Greenhouse is a plus.\nExperience with workflow/case-management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent platforms.\nStrong process improvement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience creating SOPs and maintaining HR process documentation.\nExposure to AI-enabled HR technology and automation is a strong plus.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information.\nAbility to work effectively across global teams and multiple time zones.\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorkday certification in HCM, Reporting, Integrations, or related areas.\nExperience supporting Workday implementations, optimization, or major HR transformation projects.\nExperience with Workday Payroll or payroll-related integrations.\nExperience supporting global payroll operations.\nExperience in a global technology/SaaS organization.\nExperience working within HR Shared Services or a global HR Operations environment.\nStrong understanding of HR data governance, controls, and audit requirements.\nEDB is committed to supporting our employees' overall well being by offering a range of benefits and resources to promote a healthy work-life balance and wellness.
