For more information, visit www.enterprisedb.com\n**Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote \nWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer, with proven upstream contributions to the ClickHouse OSS project; to design, develop, and maintain our core analytics products including ClickHouse extensions/integrations; WarehousePG (WHPG), Postgres Analytics Accelerator (PGAA), as well as migration tools, monitoring systems, and performance optimizations for the PostgreSQL ecosystem. \nIn this role, you will be a core contributor within the team responsible for advancing our Analytics product portfolio, specifically around ClickHouse initiatives. You will implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure the stability of our software. \nWhat you will be doing:\nDesign and develop PostgreSQL database features and tools, with focus on ClickHouse real time analytics. \nReview and refine code contributions from team members to ensure quality.\nWrite and maintain regression tests for bug fixes and new features.\nTroubleshoot and resolve database, network, and software-related issues.\nWork within CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth integration and deployment.\nWhat you will bring:\n5+ years of database internals development experience (preferably PostgreSQL) and solid understanding of database principles.\nUpstream contributions or commits to the ClickHouse OSS project required.\nDeep expertise in at least one of the following: C, C++, Rust, or Go systems programming.\nExperience with distributed query optimizers (e.g. Orca).\nCS fundamentals (algorithms, OS internals, data structures).\nProficiency in Linux-based software development and debugging.\nExperience optimizing analytical database system performance.\nStrong problem-solving skills in database and system troubleshooting.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nWhat will give you an edge:\nExperience with analytical libraries / databases (Spark, DataFusion, DuckDB) and/or MPP systems (e.g., Greenplum).\nSolid understanding of PostgreSQL internals.\nFamiliarity with machine learning libraries and techniques.\nKnowledge of GitHub Actions workflows.\nPrior contributions to other open-source database projects.\nEDB is committed to supporting our employees' overall well being by offering a range of benefits and resources to promote a healthy work-life balance and wellness.
