Associate Executive Creative Director, Copy

We're looking for an award-winning Creative Director to help shape a new generation of earned-first, social-first and creator-led creativity-developing ideas that don't just interrupt culture but become part of it.

This isn't a traditional Creative Director role. We're building a lean, high-impact creative team made up of senior creatives who are equally comfortable developing breakthrough ideas, leading client conversations, collaborating across disciplines, and rolling up their sleeves to make the work.

You'll partner with strategists, account leaders, creators and production teams to develop culturally relevant campaigns that travel across earned media, social, influencer and experiential channels. You'll have the opportunity to help define what creative looks like at Edelman India while working with global brands and helping grow one of our most important markets.

What You'll Do

• Develop bold, culturally relevant creative ideas rooted in earned, social and creator ecosystems.
• Lead creative development from brief through execution across integrated campaigns, content, activations and new business.
• Partner closely with strategy, client leadership and production teams to create work that earns attention and drives business results.
• Present and sell creative ideas confidently to senior clients and internal stakeholders.
• Be hands-on throughout the creative process-from concepting and crafting to reviewing execution and ensuring exceptional quality.
• Build strong relationships across the business, influencing teams and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
• Mentor and inspire junior creatives while fostering a collaborative creative culture.
• Help elevate Edelman's creative reputation through award-worthy work and industry-leading thinking.
• Contribute to new business opportunities and help shape the future growth of Edelman Creative in India.

The ideal candidate will have

• 10+ years of experience in top creative, advertising, integrated or PR agencies.
• A portfolio featuring internationally recognized and award-winning work.
• Deep experience in the India market, with strong knowledge of local culture and audiences.
• Expertise developing earned-first, social-first and creator-led ideas.
• Exceptional conceptual thinking with outstanding craft in either art direction or copywriting.
• A proven ability to develop ideas that live across multiple channels-not just traditional advertising.
• Experience presenting to senior clients and successfully selling creative work.
• Confidence working independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of today's creator economy, social platforms and cultural trends.
• Curiosity around emerging technologies and creative tools, including AI-enabled workflows.
• A passion for mentoring others while remaining deeply involved in the work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internationally recognized creative awards (Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, Spikes Asia, Effies, etc.) are highly valued.
• Experience working on global and regional brands.
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
• Experience leading integrated campaigns from concept through production.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional creative standards.
• Experience mentoring and developing creative talent.
