We’re looking for a dynamic communicator who excels in media relations, influencer engagement, and thought leadership. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is for you!\nWhat you'll be doing:\nDemonstrate a solid understanding of the broader communication industry and its basic principles.\nUnderstand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors.\nDevelop earned media skills -Building relationships with media, proactively surface new storylines, drafting media briefing materials, building thoughtful media lists, and outreach to media.\nWrite, edit and proofread materials including press releases, briefing books, coverage reports, pitch notes, fact sheets, and client correspondence.\nDemonstrate knowledge of social media tools and channels.\nHelp supervise and educate interns.\nParticipate in new business processes, including research and proposal preparation.\nCommit to continuous learning through Edelman Learning Institute and other training opportunities.\nDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.\nWhat is required of you:\nDegree/diploma in a relevant field, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent organization skills, and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines.\nPrevious internship experience is preferred.\nStrong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work.\nGood interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of client service staff within a specific set of accounts.\nA basic understanding of media and analyst relations and how to use social media in communications.\nStrong attention to detail.\nBasic research skills and project management skills.\nEagerness to learn and be part of and contribute to a strong, high-performing team.\nWe are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
