Consistent with this approach, we hire the best qualified candidates for all positions.\nJob Summary:\nThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for facilitating the billing process, financial analysis, and reporting for individual projects and larger, more complex client portfolios.\nThe ideal candidate will have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, be client-service oriented, and foster positive working relationships. They should be highly organized with strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also possess strong financial analysis skills and be able to articulate financial concepts in layman’s terms.\nKey Responsibilities:\nClient Servicing\nMaintain a repository of critical client information.\nMaintain files, contracts, and other relevant documentation.\nCoordinate data collection for client audits.\nPrepare client management reporting and review project profitability drivers with account teams.\nProvide guidance to Project Management and Account teams on monthly project budget-to-actual tracking and other required client reporting.\nFinancial Management & Planning\nPartner with Project Managers to prepare client budgets in line with statements of work.\nReview and approve Sourcing department service orders, with appropriate oversight.\nCalculate and forecast monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings.\nComplete client fee, project, and balance sheet reconciliations.\nFacilitate monthly billing between account staff and the Billing department and review billing reports.\nReview potential write-offs and escalate concerns to the Senior Finance Lead.\nAssist Project Managers with billing reviews.\nEnsure service orders are processed in a timely manner.\nReview project request forms for compliance and upload them into the appropriate system.\nProcess purchase orders upon request.\nRun financial queries in response to staff requests.\nProvide Project Managers with time and expense details as incurred on projects.\nReview missing time reports weekly and follow up on outstanding submissions.\nSupport ad hoc financial requests and projects as required.\nPeople Management\nProvide ongoing, constructive feedback to junior staff.\nSupport junior team members through guidance, coaching, and effective delegation.\nMeasures of Success\nDemonstrate behaviours consistent with Edelman’s values, Code of Ethics, and Business Conduct.\nSet and pursue challenging stretch goals.\nDemonstrate effective supervisory and task delegation skills by setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing necessary resources, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.\nCommit to continuous learning and improvement of technical and leadership skills.\nTake responsibility for personal growth and development using available resources such as ELI, on-the-job training, and mentoring.\n$60,000 - $80,000 per year\n#LI-PP1\nAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
