The role ensures the platform is secure, scalable, observable, interoperable, and AI-ready, while enabling autonomy and reuse across geographies and business lines.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the Data & AI platform roadmap as a product (Databricks, Unity Catalog, infrastructure, shared services)\nDesign and implement core platform building blocks (workspaces, catalogs, compute policies, environments)\nEnforce security, access control, and isolation by design\nEnsure the platform supports data, AI, and agentic workloads consistently\nContribute hands-on to critical platform components and upgrades\nDefine and operate the platform-level agent interoperability layer\nEnsure agents can interoperate across runtimes (Databricks agents, Salesforce Agentforce, internal services)\nTreat agent interfaces as first-class platform APIs, versioned and governed\nPartner with SRE to embed observability, reliability, FinOps into platform primitives\nCo-own CI/CD frameworks and guardrails (policy-as-code, quality gates)\nParticipate as a standing member of the Design Authority\nEnable discovery, sandboxing, and fast-track experimentation safely\nPrevent platform fragmentation and shadow architectures\nYOUR PROFILE\nTechnical & Engineering\nStrong background in platform and software engineering\nDeep expertise with Databricks & Lakehouse architectures (Unity Catalog, security, serverless)\nSolid understanding of data engineering and AI enablement needs\nWorking knowledge of agent runtimes, tool/function protocols, and A2A interaction patterns\nComfortable with cloud infrastructure, IAM, networking, and infrastructure-as-code\nPlayer-Coach Mindset\nHands-on engineer able to design, build, and debug core systems\nCoaches teams through patterns, reviews, and enablement rather than control\nRaises engineering standards through example\nCollaboration & Influence\nAble to influence architecture and usage without hierarchical authority\nClear communicator with engineers, architects, and leaders\nPragmatic, anti-dogmatic;
