This role supports flexible working arrangements and requires the ability to work from either our London or Hove EDF office for at least two days a week.\nAs the digital communications subject matter expert within our Content, Digital and Brand Identity team - a centre of excellence for high-impact content creation and distribution - you'll influence senior stakeholders, shape digital communications strategy and help ensure our content remains visible and effective in an increasingly AI-powered search environment.\nYou'll work across owned, paid and earned channels to raise awareness of EDF's purpose, strategy, solutions and services with a focus on reputation, advocacy and stakeholder engagement rather than sales or lead generation. You'll also:\nAct as a trusted adviser to business leaders and communications teams across EDF’s non-Retail areas, helping strengthen digital channels, content discoverability and audience engagement \nWork closely with the Head of Content, Digital and Brand Identity to help shape and deliver digital communications strategies and corporate campaigns \nLead Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), accessibility and AI discoverability improvements across corporate digital platforms and websites \nOwn and coordinate content on EDF's companywide webpages on edfenergy.com, including management of the homepage \nOversee paid and organic digital campaigns across social media and web \nAnalyse channel performance and provide actionable insights to improve reach and engagement \nLine manage the Digital Corporate Communications Lead and support integrated campaign delivery across multiple channels \nProvide training and guidance on digital best practice, AI tools and content optimisation \nCoordinate digital governance activities and meetings and help drive consistency across the business \nInnovate with emerging technologies and AI-enabled approaches to improve efficiency and performance \nConduct regular competitor benchmarking and identify opportunities for continuous improvement \nDeliver complex digital initiatives, including website audits, enhancements and migrations \nWho You Are\nWe're looking for a digital communications professional who combines strategic thinking, stakeholder influence and hands-on delivery experience. To be successful in this role, you'll have:\nProven experience in digital communications, with a strong track record of managing corporate digital channels and content \nStrong understanding of SEO, digital analytics and emerging AI search behaviours, including the impact of LLMs on content discoverability \nExperience using content management systems such as Drupal, WordPress or Sanity and analytics platforms including Google Analytics, Google Trends, Looker Studio and Search Console \nExperience managing and optimising paid digital and social campaigns across LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, programmatic and display \nDemonstrable ability to translate digital trends, including AI developments, into practical recommendations and plans \nExcellent communication, copywriting and stakeholder management skills \nStrong project management skills with experience delivering complex digital projects such as website migrations \nAbility to work collaboratively across teams and influence at all levels \nHigh attention to detail, with the judgement to manage brand, regulatory and reputational considerations in a corporate communications environment \nDesirable\nKnowledge of the UK energy sector or experience working in a complex, regulated industry \nExperience with AI-powered content creation and optimisation tools \nUnderstanding of brand governance and visual identity in a corporate context \nFamiliarity with legal and regulatory requirements for digital content, for example ASA guidelines \nPay, Benefits and Culture\nAt EDF, everyone’s welcome.
