Because success is personal.\nWe’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nNature and Scope\nSupport effective risk identification and management processes.\nSupport the development of a positive safety culture and promote greater safety awareness.\nMonitor and report industrial safety performance on behalf of the site, identifying and recommending appropriate countermeasures to address emerging adverse trends.\nMonitor and report on compliance with, and effectiveness of, site safety management arrangements, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.\nDevelop and maintain a compliance evaluation programme for industrial health and safety against company and legal requirements. Identifies and reports results and progresses the resolution of areas for improvement.\nMaintain register of legislative compliance arrangements for the site.\nSupport the investigation of events ensuring that root causes are effectively identified and addressed within the CAP process.\nAdvise on industrial safety training needs and support effective delivery of training inputs where appropriate.\nPromote and maintain a positive industrial safety profile by spending time in the field.\n Principal Accountabilities\nAccountable for providing specialist industrial safety advice to line management and departments across site whilst delivering agreed targets.\nLiaise with the internal / external Regulator and other applicable external bodies on industrial safety matters.\nEvaluate and report on compliance with legal and company / site industrial safety requirements.\nEngage with fleet experts as a key stakeholder in the revision or production of industrial safety standards or guidelines for company wide application.\nParticipate within the Industrial Safety Peer Group network in the development and implementation of fleet-wide continuous improvement initiatives and sharing of good practice.\nDevise and run safety improvement campaigns.\nWho you are\nDetailed Knowledge of driving and improving safety culture within a high-risk organisation.\nKnowledge of HSE regulatory framework, and UK safety legislation relevant to Nuclear Power Station Operations and site licence requirements.\nKnowledge of key industrial safety risks present within nuclear power stations and of applicable control measures to mitigate risks.\nKnowledge of company safety management system and associated industrial safety standards, specifications and guidelines in place to provide safe systems of working within the power station environment.\nKnowledge of safety auditing & monitoring processes.\nAbility to positively challenge and coach.\nThe ability to communicate effectively at all levels.\nAny Applicant with a NEBOSH Certificate and/or a Demonstrable proven track record of influencing Safety Culture within a High-Risk organisation will have a distinct advantage.\nClosing date for applications is Wednesday November 4th, and interviews will take place week mid to late November\nTo be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years.\n#EDFNuclearJobs #DestinationNuclear #SuccessIsPersonal #EDFcareers\n Success is Personal.
