Provides Levels I, II and III technical training in subjects related to Electronics and Armament. Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards. Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives. Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment. Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nEnforce all safety and security rules, policies and directives.\nAdvise the Chief Instructor on all course development and delivery functions.\nAdvise the Chief Instructor on student progress and performance.\nDeliver classroom and workshop training in all Electronics and Armament related subjects for the UAE Army.\nDesign, develop and analyse courses in accordance with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT).\nPrepare and deliver operator’s courses and technical evaluations to GMC technicians.\nUtilise coaching and remedial training methods as required to ensure the highest possible graduation rate and test scores.\nServe as a primary and alternate instructor for workshop and classroom presentations.\nPractise time management in all facets of training.\nEnsure all equipment, supplies and computers are accounted for and properly maintained.\nDevelop, maintain and continually improve instructional material including lesson plans, handouts and PowerPoint presentations.\nAttend conferences, workshops, demonstrations and training/education programs as directed in order to stay abreast of current trends in instructional techniques and training technology.\nSupport other members of the faculty in fulfilling their roles.\nMaintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.\nPerform other duties as required by the Chief Instructor and the Director, Technical Training School.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nA degree in a relevant subject area is required, a Bachelor’s is preferred.\nGraduate of a recognised school or military training program in combat vehicles is preferred.\nA minimum of four years of experience as an instructor in logistics/general subjects is required.\nA minimum of two years of military experience is an advantage.\nPrevious experience applying the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) is an advantage.\nExcellent writing skills with aptitude in preparing studies, briefings or doctrinal literature on a subject matter is an advantage.\nThe ability to conduct analysis, and develop performance oriented instruction and lesson plans is required.\nProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.\nThe ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.\nHave, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
