The role involves performing mechanical interface and structural analyses, preparing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with military environmental standards. The engineer will lead hardware installation activities, coordinate with technicians, and support mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and system qualification.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign and validate 3D mechanical parts, assemblies, and structures to integrate radar, EW, C2, and sensors onto naval, ground-vehicle, and airborne/UAS platforms.\nDesign equipment mounts, support structures, and protective enclosures in line with MIL-STD-810G (or equivalent) requirements.\nPerform mechanical interface analysis: weight and footprint budgets, power consumption, cooling, and vibration/shock loading per platform.\nPrepare 3D CAD models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and mechanical installation drawings.\nLead and support the physical installation of hardware on each platform, coordinating directly with the installation technicians.\nSupport mechanical checks and tests and troubleshooting of electromechanical issues during integration and trials.\nSupport environmental and qualification testing (vibration, shock, ingress protection, thermal).\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 5+ years of experience in 3D mechanical design and integration of electronic equipment onto vehicles, vessels, or aircraft.\nHands-on experience developing and validating mechanical prototypes, including 3D printing and fit checks.\nFamiliarity with MIL-STD-810G or equivalent environmental qualification standards.\nProficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
