The job incumbent ensures the Technical (Requirement, Risk) Management of the programme deliverables and ensures that the System functional specifications adhere to system requirements. He/She also ensures traceability- and interface compliance to the system specification of the product.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSupport the Desert Sting Project Manager and design team in developing the Engineering Management Plan\nProvide inputs to a software-design-requirement with achievable test verification, fully traceable from development through operational test\nSupport systems architecture and lead the transition to software architecture components and views with an emphasis on modular, open architecture implementations\nSupport Earned Value Process through evaluation, execution and impact assessments to technical performance by identifying risks and presenting mitigation options\nAnalyse requirements to support software design, test and traceability from development through operational test including incorporating software design-oriented thought processes, as well as ensuring verification oriented results\nSupport test activity from test case development through test script execution\nSupport generation of material for contract deliverables\nApply engineering principles to investigate, analyse, plan, design, develop, and/or evaluate requirements for product systems\nReview and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation\nEnsure the alignment of product design with requirements\nDevelop design and product specifications\nConduct functional analysis to ensure safety of the systems, sub-systems and interface\nWrite the functional requirements of systems, sub-systems and components\nManage the technical deliverables on time required by Project Management\nPerform other tasks like technical baseline management of the programme, confirming technical performance of the product, validating evaluation/flight test results of sub-systems and product and conducting verification of product performance against System Requirement Specification\nCoach and mentor junior team members and contribute to the knowledge of the office through collaborative exchange\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in electronics or systems engineering\n10+ years of extensive experience in system design and development for missile programs in the Defence Environment\nProven practical experience with Risk Assessment, Test and Evaluation for missile programs\nExpert knowledge of System Interface Management\nDemonstrated expertise with Traceability and Verification Management\nData pack management and change control\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMasters’ Degree or PhD in Engineering relevant to the defense industry\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
