The role works closely with internal stakeholders to support operational requirements while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and cost objectives.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.\nProcess purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.\nCoordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.\nFollow up on open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.\nSupport supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring.\nMaintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.\nEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.\nCoordinate with Finance regarding invoices and payment-related issues.\nWork closely with end users to understand procurement requirements and specifications.\nMonitor inventory and support replenishment activities when required.\nAssist in negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements.\nSupport cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrepare procurement reports and purchasing metrics.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or material planning.\nKnowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.\nExperience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.\nStrong analytical and organizational skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nStrong communication and negotiation skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or industrial environments.\nKnowledge of procurement contracts and commercial terms.\nFamiliarity with supplier performance management and vendor evaluation.\nExperience with strategic sourcing and RFQ/RFP processes.\nUnderstanding of inventory control and material planning.\nKnowledge of Incoterms and logistics processes.\nProfessional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is an advantage.\nExperience with SAP procurement modules.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
