The role manages system interfaces, requirements traceability, verification and validation activities, and supports safety and certification processes in line with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and certification teams, the position ensures that avionics systems are technically coherent, fully traceable, compliant, and successfully integrated at system level.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop subsystem architecture based on high-level system requirements.\nDerive system requirements from high-level requirements.\nAllocate system requirements to software, hardware, and control domains.\nManage system interfaces (ICDs) between software, hardware, control, and other engineering teams.\nProvide necessary technical inputs to software, hardware, and control teams.\nCoordinate the lifecycle activities related to writing, verifying, and validating system requirements.\nPerform system-level integration and verification activities.\nSupport safety assessment activities and derived requirements management.\nSupport the establishment and execution of systems engineering processes compliant with ARP4754A.\nMaintain requirements traceability across system, hardware, software, and control levels.\nPrepare and maintain systems engineering documentation.\nWork in coordination with software, hardware, control, test, and certification teams.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Control, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in avionics system development and system integration.\nKnowledge and experience in avionics system architecture.\nKnowledge of systems engineering design processes and related lifecycle activities.\nKnowledge and experience in ARP4754A processes.\nExperience in requirements engineering (capture, derivation, and traceability).\nKnowledge of communication interfaces such as RS-232/422/485, CAN bus, ARINC 429, ARINC 664, ARINC 825, and MIL-STD-1553.\nExperience with configuration, change, and requirements management tools such as SVN, DOORS, etc.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nFamiliarity with safety assessment processes (ARP4761, FHA/PSSA/SSA).\nFamiliarity with DO-178C and DO-254 within the system development context.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
