You will play a key role in developing RF architectures, optimizing network coverage, conducting spectrum analysis and ensuring reliable communications across challenging operational environments.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop and review RF network architectures for radar, surveillance, tactical communications, microwave, SATCOM, LTE/5G and sensor systems.\n\nPerform RF link budget calculations, frequency planning, spectrum analysis and propagation modelling.\n\nConduct site surveys, antenna placement studies, coverage assessments and field measurements.\n\nIntegrate RF communication systems with C4ISR command-and-control and other mission-critical platforms.\n\nTest, troubleshoot and optimize RF equipment, antennas, radios, microwave links and SDR systems.\n\nIdentify and mitigate interference issues to improve network coverage, reliability and performance.\n\nSupport RF system deployment, commissioning, field validation and acceptance testing.\n\nContribute to digital twin integration through RF simulation, coverage prediction and propagation modelling.\n\nPrepare technical documentation, including RF design reports, frequency plans, link budgets and test reports.\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum 5 years of relevant RF Engineering experience.\n\nStrong experience in RF design, frequency planning, link budget analysis, propagation modelling and RF optimization.\n\nHands-on exposure to radios, antennas, microwave links, SDR, SATCOM, LTE/5G or tactical communication systems.\n\nExperience in RF field testing, troubleshooting, site surveys and coverage assessments.\n\nGood understanding of spectrum management, interference analysis and mitigation.\n\nFluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in Defence, Military Communications, C4ISR, Border Security, Surveillance or Tactical Communication projects.\n\nExperience with RF design and simulation tools such as Pathloss, HFSS, ATDI ICS Telecom, ATDI HTZ, MATLAB or similar platforms.\n\nExposure to radar systems, sensor communication networks and secure communication environments.\n\nExperience integrating RF systems with command-and-control platforms and mission-critical systems.\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licence or relevant RF, telecommunications or wireless communication certifications.#beaconred\n\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
