The role combines strong RF and radar engineering expertise with hands-on fault diagnosis and system performance analysis to ensure system reliability, operational readiness, and continuous performance improvement.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPreventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform and supervise routine inspections, hardware testing, and complex fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and circuit diagrams.\nTroubleshooting & Analysis: Lead fault-finding, perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for radar anomalies, and develop robust, long-term corrective actions.\nTeam Leadership: Manage a team of technicians and junior engineers, delegating daily tasks, providing technical mentorship, and ensuring strict adherence to SOPs.\nSpare Parts & Inventory: Coordinate with procurement and repair centers to manage critical spares, consumables, and supply chain replenishment.\nDocumentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, update technical schematics, and ensure all work complies with strict safety and industry regulations.\nDeployment of operational systems: Lead and co-ordinate field deployment of systems for qualification and gathering of operational data\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, mechanical engineers, software teams and algorithms specialists to ensure system availability\nDocument testing processes, results, and system behavior during the phases, ensuring comprehensive traceability.\nIdentify risks during maintenance and repair and propose mitigation strategies to avoid delays or performance issues.\nKeep up to date with the latest RF and radar technologies and industry trends.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n Native Arabic speaker\nMinimum 5-7 years of experience in hardware and software engineering with strong focus in radar or EW applications.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field.\nA Master’s or a Ph.D. degree is a plus with preference given to the highest qualification.\nStrong knowledge of RF principles and radar theory, including doppler frequency modulation, pulse compression and beamforming.\nProficiency with simulation tools such as CST, AWR, or ANSYS HFSS\nProficiency in RF testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analysers, network analysers, oscilloscopes, etc.)\nExperience with radar systems, such as phased-array radar, pulse-Doppler radar, or synthetic aperture radar (SAR).\nStrong insight on radar and EW signal processing\nExperience with electronic schematics\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
