Free from heavy legacy processes, we give our people the autonomy, accountability, and agility to bring breakthrough technologies from concept to reality.\nBased in Abu Dhabi, a globally connected hub at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, EDGE is home to a truly multicultural community where bold ideas thrive, and the future is shaped.\nTogether, we are shaping the future.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nThe Senior Programme Quality Engineer in HALCON is responsible for planning, coordinating, and assuring quality activities throughout the Programme lifecycle, ensuring that products, processes, and activities comply with applicable standards, customer, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.\nActing as the designated quality focal point for the assigned Programme or scope, the Senior PQE provides independent quality oversight, supports Programme governance and decision-making, manages and communicates quality risks and non-conformances, promotes continual improvement, and coordinates quality activities across Programme Management, Engineering, Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DFAM), Manufacturing, Configuration Management, other Quality functions, and relevant interfacing functions.\nThe Senior PQE ensures that quality requirements are effectively embedded and verified across design, development, verification, validation, qualification, production, and acceptance activities, supporting the timely delivery of conforming products.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nKey Responsibilities\nLead programme quality activities and act as the main point of contact for quality, audits, reporting, and customer quality matters.\nOversee quality throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company, customer, regulatory, and industry standards.\nDevelop and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans, supporting inspections, testing, product release, and production readiness.\nReview designs, technical documentation, test results, and deliverables to ensure quality, traceability, and compliance.\nManage non-conformances, deviations, root cause investigations, and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.\nSupport audits, Stage Gate Reviews, configuration control, and programme quality reporting.\nEnsure compliance with safety and quality requirements during testing, qualification, and other high-risk activities.\nPartner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and improve performance.\nMonitor programme risks, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives, ensuring timely issue resolution.\nMentor junior quality engineers and promote a strong culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nDegree in Aerospace, Aeronautics, Systems, Electrical, Electronics & Mechatronics Engineering\n8+ years of direct experience in Quality Engineering, Product Design Assurance, or Development Engineering, with demonstrated experience supporting product Design and Development activities within the Space/Aerospace/Satelites/Defence Manufacturing industry.\nA good understanding of System Engineering processes; working knowledge one or more of the following: guided missiles, drones, UAV, space satellites or complex multidisciplinary systems that include subsystems such as warheads/fuzes, seekers, propulsion/motors, avionics, actuators, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Assemblies\nExperience with testing tools and software test equipment\nWorking knowledge of quality assurance techniques and methodologies (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D)\nKnowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning and First Article Inspection tools and techniques\nTechnical report writing\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree in related Engineering discipline\nAmerican Society for Quality (ASQ) certification \nChartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)\nCertified Explosive worker (to Explosives Act 15 0f 2003 and Explosives Regulations of the OHS Act 85 of 1993), ISO 9001\nLead Auditor certification.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
