Free from heavy legacy processes, we give our people the autonomy, accountability, and agility to bring breakthrough technologies from concept to reality.\nBased in Abu Dhabi, a globally connected hub at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, EDGE is home to a truly multicultural community where bold ideas thrive, and the future is shaped.\nTogether, we are shaping the future.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAt EPI as Senior Quality Control Inspector CMM, you will be responsible for performing dimensional inspection of components, assemblies, and tooling using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), portable measuring equipment, and conventional inspection methods.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nEnsures compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, and applicable quality standards.\nValidate CMM programs, maintaining measurement traceability, supporting root cause investigations, and ensuring inspection equipment remains calibrated and compliant.\nUse precision measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and Faro Arm to verify dimensions to blueprints and engineering drawings.\nPerform First Article Inspection (FAI), Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and Final Inspection of manufactured components and assemblies.\nVerify product conformity against engineering drawings, specifications, models, work instructions, and customer requirements.\nConduct dimensional inspections using CMM, portable CMM arms, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.\nDevelop inspection routines using CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.\nSupport offline programming activities and simulation of inspection routines when required.\nEstablish appropriate alignment strategies and datum structures to ensure accurate measurement results.\nInterpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements in accordance with ASME Y14.5 or applicable customer standards.\nEnsure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and traceability of all inspection activities.\nParticipate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R studies, and uncertainty evaluations when required.\nInvestigate and resolve abnormal measurement results or CMM performance issues.\nMonitor calibration status of inspection equipment and measuring instruments.\nIdentify, segregate, and report non-conforming products and materials.\nSupport containment, corrective, and preventive actions related to measurement and inspection findings.\nMaintain inspection records in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.\nSupport process improvement initiatives to enhance inspection efficiency and measurement reliability.\nAssist in developing and updating inspection procedures and work instructions.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, industrial environments.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in similar role.\nHands on experience in CMM software PCDMIS/Touch DMIS/Metrologic/ Modus/Calypso or any related software experience for inspection and basic programming. \nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
