ADVANCED CONCEPTS is fast-tracking the development of high-technology autonomous systems, including three Medium Endurance, High Altitude, fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems, a family of precision loitering munitions, a cost- effective family of cruise missiles, and a range of guided artillery munitions.\nThe Senior Techncian requires to perform precision mechanical assembly of components and systems using engineering drawings, hand tools, and measuring instruments, ensuring accurate fitting, testing, troubleshooting and quality control. Coordinate with design and fabrication teams, guide team members, maintain assembly documentation and equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform mechanical assembly of precision parts, sub-assemblies, and complete systems based on engineering drawings and instructions.\nUse hand tools, torque tools, and alignment instruments to assemble components to tight tolerances.\nLead others by example and monitor work effectiveness.\nConduct test fitting, adjustment, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems during prototyping.\nWork closely with design and fabrication teams to ensure parts fit and function as intended.\nMonitor assembly works with written reports including creating assembly documentation, inspection records, and feedback reports.\nPerform equipment set up, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventive tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures\nConduct inspection audits to ensure tools and workstations are maintained and follow safety and housekeeping standards.\nMonitor the work of others and request assistance where required. Take personal responsibility for the quality of output from the team and give feedback to others when improvement is necessary\nAssist in integration and testing of mechanical systems with electrical or hydraulic components, as required.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum 10 years experience including a minimum of 2 years leading a team of technicians maintaining or assembling one of the following categories:\no Aircraft systems including drones or UAVs\no Combustion engines\no Pneumatic/hydraulic systems\nHigh School Diploma Certificate\nExperience assembling aerospace, defense, or precision engineering products.\nSkilled in handling mechanical tools, fasteners, fittings, and alignment procedures.\nUnderstanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, or electromechanical systems.\nFunctional competence in computer systems for administration purposes, email communications\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nGood communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.\nCan-do attitude and proactive nature\nCommitment and strong sense of accountability\nOrganization and diligence in reporting work activities\nWork independently in a functional prototyping environment and follow best practices guidelines\nFollow written work instructions with precise attention to details\nRead and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and BOMs.\nRecord and document procedures and clearly communicate feedback\nVerify dimensions, clearances, and alignments using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.\nEnsure assemblies meet company quality standards, ISO procedures, and customer requirements.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
