The role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting CNC and production machinery, with a strong focus on DMG Mori and multi-axis CNC machines.\nThe position will support equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime and ensure safe and efficient operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on DMG Mori and multi-axis CNC machines.\nTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\nDiagnose faults on Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain CNC controllers.\nPerform geometric and mechanical machine alignment using dial indicators, lasers, and test bars.\nService and repair WEDM and EDM systems.\nTroubleshoot PLCs, automated circuits, and control panels.\nBackup and restore CNC parameters, PLC programs, and machine data.\nConduct root-cause analysis of recurring machine failures.\nSupport machine installation, relocation, repairs, and technical upgrades.\nDevelop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.\nManage critical spare parts and maintain accurate maintenance records through CMMS.\nEnsure compliance with HSE requirements and LOTO procedures.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.\n5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance or service engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.\nExperience in fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.\nGood written and spoken English.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing DMG/DMG Mori machines.\nExperience with Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Heidenhain controllers.\nHands-on experience with PLC fault finding and automated systems.\nExperience servicing WEDM and EDM machines.\nKnowledge of CNC machine alignment and mechanical fitting.\nExperience using SAP, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.\nIndustrial safety or electrical regulation certifications.\nArabic language skills are an advantage.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
