We apply scientific methodologies and Systems-Engineering principles to gather critical performance data on test platforms and provide users with an evidence base which allows them to make well-informed, data-led decisions about their platforms and systems. REMAYA operates a secure test and evaluation facility, known as XRANGE. From its secure island setting, XRANGE provides over 350km2 of test range area as well as up to 10,000ft of airspace to assess platforms and systems in operationally realistic conditions and scenarios. Open all year around to both UAE and Internation clients and supported by dedicated infrastructure, advanced instrumentation and data capture systems, it is a unique testing environment in the heart of the Middle East. Our expert engineering teams support our clients with trials planning and advisory services across their product lifecycle, from concept to in service upgrades. REMAYA also deploys mobile instrumentation and support services directly to our clients, providing mobile test and evaluation range support both in the UAE and Globally.\nThe Senior Range Services Technician supports the setup, maintenance, and operation of test ranges used for evaluating equipment, vehicles, or other products. This role involves preparing test sites, supporting the operational setup of testing equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance with testing protocols. The technician works closely with engineers, clients, RCO, SMEs, and other technical staff to facilitate accurate and efficient testing processes.\nKey Accountabilities:\nTest Range Setup and Maintenance:\nPrepare test sites by setting up equipment, barriers, targets, and other necessary materials.\nWork with Engineering Services to set up and support the deployment of testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.\nConduct regular inspections and maintenance of test range facilities and equipment.\n\nServices Infrastructure:\nWorking with the Operations team, RCO’s and SME’s, ensure that client booked temporary infrastructure is in place\nProvide technical support for ad-hoc builds and targetry - including any mechanical/electrical work necessary\nEnsure clients are supported with Hygiene units and associated fresh water, AC and power\n\nTest Operations:\nOperate a variety of testing equipment and systems as required for specific tests.\nAssist in conducting tests, including vehicle, ballistic, environmental, or other specialized tests.\nRecord commercial data and observations during tests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\n\nSafety and Compliance:\nEnsure all test set up activity comply with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.\nImplement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.\n\nData Management and Reporting:\nEnsure the relevant documentation is completed for the deployment of targets, facilities and field support services as booked by clients\nMaintain detailed logs and records of all test activities and services delivered\nMaintain a log of all support equipment, its condition and arrange for any upkeep or upgrade as required\nAssist in preparing technical reports and summaries for review by engineers and management.\n\nCollaboration and Communication:\nWork closely with engineers, clients, and other technical staff to plan and execute support services for tests.\nCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding test plans, progress, and issues.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide input based on test range operations.\n\nEquipment and Inventory Management:\nManage inventory of test range equipment, tools, and supplies.\nCoordinate the procurement and replacement of equipment and materials as needed.\nImplement inventory tracking systems to monitor usage and maintain adequate stock levels.\n\nExperience & Qualifications.\nDiploma degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or related field).\nMin 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical or maintenance-preferably within a defense, range, or test environment.\nArabic Speaker, Fluent in English \nStrong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.\nMechanical and Electrical capability - field repair and maintenance\nKnowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a testing environment\nPhysically fit due to environmental challenges\nAble to drive multiple types of vehicles\n\nIf you feel your skills, experience and potential are a strong match for a role, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.
