The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs across facility systems while supporting contractor coordination and ensuring all activities are completed safely and efficiently.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform routine facility inspections, preventive maintenance and general repairs.\nCarry out minor electrical repairs, including replacement of light fixtures and related components.\nPerform basic plumbing and general building maintenance activities.\nMonitor HVAC systems and identify or report maintenance requirements.\nMaintain, clean and inspect machines and equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules.\nIdentify facility defects and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.\nCoordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repair work.\nSupport preventive maintenance planning and facility improvement activities.\nMaintain facility inventory and coordinate requirements for materials, spare parts and supplies.\nMaintain accurate inspection, maintenance and facility records.\nEnsure contractors comply with site safety and access requirements.\nUse appropriate PPE and follow established HSE procedures and safe working practices.\nReport hazards, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nDiploma, vocational qualification or associate degree in a relevant technical or facilities-related field.\nMinimum 2 years of relevant facility maintenance experience.\nHands-on experience with general building maintenance and minor repairs.\nBasic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.\nUnderstanding of preventive maintenance and routine facility inspections.\nAbility to safely use basic maintenance tools and equipment.\nGood understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.\nGood English communication skills.\nBasic computer skills, including MS Office.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nTechnical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Maintenance or a related discipline.\nPrevious experience within an industrial, manufacturing or large facility environment.\nExperience coordinating maintenance contractors and service providers.\nExperience with preventive maintenance schedules and facility maintenance records.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems such as Oracle.\nExperience with inventory and spare-parts coordination.\nStrong understanding of HSE procedures, PPE and basic risk-assessment requirements.\nWHY CHOOSE EDGE\nLaunched in November 2019, the UAE's EDGE is one of the world's leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
