This role is responsible for providing field-based safety leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting incident investigations, conducting audits and inspections, and working closely with operations teams to foster a strong culture of safety.\nThe successful candidate will be a collaborative professional who is passionate about workplace safety, continuous improvement, and helping employees return home safely every day.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs an HSE Advisor, you will:\nProvide HSE guidance and support to operations, supervisors, and employees.\nConduct field inspections, safety observations, and compliance audits.\nAssist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE programs and procedures.\nLead and participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.\nMonitor corrective actions and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport COR maintenance activities, internal audits, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nDeliver and coordinate safety orientations, training, and awareness programs.\nAssist with hazard assessments and the development of risk mitigation strategies.\nSupport emergency preparedness initiatives and response planning.\nMaintain HSE records, reports, metrics, and documentation.\nAssist with Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims management and return-to-work programs.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nDiploma, Certificate, or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.\nMinimum 3-5 years of health and safety experience.\nStrong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry best practices.\nExperience conducting inspections, audits, investigations, and safety training.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nValid Class 5 Driver's License with the ability to travel to field locations.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic reporting systems. \nPreferred Qualifications\nCRSP, NCSO, CHSC, or working toward a professional safety designation.\nCOR Auditor Certification.\nIncident Investigation Training.\nExperience within oil and gas, industrial services, construction, transportation, or energy sectors.\nThis role involves a combination of office, shop, and field work. Regular travel to operational locations throughout Alberta may be required.
