This role is critical to support our global operations, with a strong emphasis on Proxmox-based virtualization, Linux systems administration, and monitoring in on-prem environments. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in troubleshooting Linux systems, has strong foundational knowledge in infrastructure and networking, and enjoys automating repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible or Terraform.\nAbout the Role\nYou will operate and scale the virtualization and Linux environments that run across our data centers, working closely with our team to support internal systems and contribute to incremental improvements through automation and scripting. The position is embedded in a 24x7 high availability context and requires close collaboration with developers, network engineers, and cloud engineers, as well as consistent documentation practices to support knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness.\nCore Responsibilities\nSystems & Virtualization Operations\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.)\nManage and scale our on-premise virtualization environment using Proxmox\nMaintain backups and ensure consistency across multiple datacenter environments\nSupport internal teams with user and service-level adjustments\nInfrastructure Automation & CloudOps\nAutomate infrastructure operations using Ansible, Terraform, or Bash scripting\nMaintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure repeatability and stability across environments\nContribute to incremental improvements in infrastructure and automation\nConfigure and support services such as reverse proxies, firewalls, and virtualized networks\nMonitoring, Observability & Reliability\nMonitor systems and strengthen observability practices using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Telegraf\nIdentify system bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis on incidents\nHelp implement proactive alerting, performance tuning, and capacity planning strategies\nArchitecture & Collaboration\nContribute to architectural decisions for new systems, virtualization expansion, and datacenter upgrades\nCollaborate with developers, network engineers, and cloud engineers to integrate systems effectively\nDocument system configurations, procedures, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness\nRequirements\nEnglish proficiency at B2 level or above.\n5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering\nExperience supporting 24x7 high availability environments, servers, load balancing systems, and virtualized infrastructure\nStrong background in Linux system administration\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals\nHands-on experience with Proxmox or other virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM)\nProficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform\nExperience with Docker and managing containerized services\nFamiliarity with GitLab and version control practices\nExperience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana stack, or similar)\nAbility to learn new tools through documentation and apply them independently\nNice to Have\nPrevious experience in telecom, hosting, datacenter, or infrastructure service providers\nWhat We Offer\nAt EdgeUno, we offer a competitive compensation package, training and development opportunities, and a collaborative environment where you will be part of a technical team committed to operational excellence.
