To further enable partnership to other IT organizations, matrixing to network IT services and the organization's mission is required to deliver secure, consistent, and capable network and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value.\nResponsibilities\nProvide secure, consistent, and highly available network infrastructures and virtual services to meet IT needs.\nSupport network and virtual services development, design, implementation, testing, trouble resolution, network monitoring tools, and maintenance contracts.\nProvide evaluation and design inputs to team for customer networks.\nUpdate IT records systems to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.\nReview specific incoming IT Service Desk requests and resolve customer requirement issues.\nCoordinate with advanced Network Operations teams as needed to support port activation and connection of device to ports.\nAllocate subnets for customer environments.\nAssist setup of customer firewall rules.\nPossess the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.\nRepresent the interests of assigned teams or customers in change advisory boards.\nSupport desktop systems as well as OT/IOT equipment in both networked and standalone environments, responding, documenting, and closing tickets as submitted. \nQualifications\nAS degree in relevant discipline plus minimum 2, years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.Without a degree a total of 5 years of equivalent experience related to the duties of the job. \n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.\nMust be US Citizen.\nRequired skills:\nExpertise with enterprise-level networking infrastructure.\nClear understanding of the TCP/IP and OSI models.\nProven experience evaluating legacy network environments and recommending network design, hardware, and architectural enhancements to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and security.\nFamiliar with common enterprise network cabling standards (copper, fiber).\nExperience using network management tools/systems:WAN, LAN\nArista, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, or equivalent\nOptical networks\n\nAdvanced knowledge of network troubleshooting of escalated issues with intermediate and endpoint systems.\nExperience with installation, management, and monitoring enterprise network switches, routers.\nAbility to create, navigate within, and update the network configurations and routes.\nAbility to recommend changes to methods or processes.\nOccasionally leads technical teams and participates in planning, conducting, and reporting on projects.\nGood practices in documenting work performed (including issues) in service requests to service leads, management and/or transitioning work to another team.\nCustomer service and joint team building skills\nAbility to respond to customer tickets in support of system and network outages.\nAbility to articulate technical projects verbally and in writing.\nDemonstrate effective communication skills using tact and courtesy.\nKnowledge of ITSM framework\nAbility to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously is required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.\nDesired skills:\nUse of ServiceNow and Jira system environments\nExperience with IoT/OT/ICS devices and interconnectivity\nNetwork design and mapping\nDNS\nGeneral understanding and use of PowerShell.\nScripting (Python, Ansible, etc.)\nPanorama\nGPON\nFirewall applications\nOut-of-Band\nWireless (Aruba)\nBrocade (or equivalent)\nSecure CRT\nTACACS\nAKiPs\nEM\n F5\nLinux/Windows Server interfacing\nData storage interfacing\nCybersecurity tools (Splunk, Nozomi, etc.) interfacing\nAbout Us:\nEdgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
