We have expertise in R&D and Information Technology across many disciplines including large-scale software engineering, computer science, and computer engineering. Our specific capabilities include platform automation, computer hardware/software architectures, system administration/networking, cyber security, failover/redundancy, continuous integration, system integration/verification, and performance assessment. We leverage these capabilities to innovate high-rigor solutions while supporting existing critical customer needs. Our current responsibility includes support for nonproliferation and national security missions for the US Nuclear Detonation Detection System.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to on any given day:\nResearch and prototype solutions based on HW//SW requirements, fit, and feasibility.\nArchitect solutions and systems to meet operational and development needs.\nImplement automated solutions that are repeatable, reliable, and scalable.\nInstall hardware and configure various components of an overall system delivery.\nWork in a teaming environment to promote innovative ideas and foster continuous improvement.\nThink with an enterprise approach to ensure a complete product is delivered.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, relevant computer field, or equivalent education and relevant experience 2 years\nUnited States Citizenship is required\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance on Start or DOD Top Secret equivalent, Reciprocity with ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance\nThis position is on-site full time\nRequired Skills:\nTwo (2) years of experience with programming languages and systems such as Ansible, Python, Bash\nTwo (2) years of experience with Linux System Administration\nExperience in architecting complete computer solutions, system design, engineering, and system development, including familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools\nExperience with hardware and operating systems, including system architectures, network infrastructures, and client-server principles\nDesired Skills:\nMaster’s degree in relevant field of computer science or software/engineering\nExperience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or similar automation languages\nExperience working with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)\nProficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, OpenShift, Docker)\nPossess a strong dedication to positive teaming dynamic, strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented with a keen focus on customer service\nAbout Us:\nEdgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
