This position is hybrid and candidates must live within driving distance to Oak Ridge.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.\nLead and participate in design sessions with managers and stakeholders to define system functionality, architecture, and technical solutions.\nDevelop High-Level Design (HLD) and System Design Documents (SDD) aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML5, and related technologies.\nCreate and enhance custom dashboards that provide intuitive user experiences and improve customer and employee interaction with business workflows.\nDesign and implement user-friendly interfaces that promote usability, accessibility, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop and integrate APIs with internal and external platforms, including ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.\nBuild and maintain database-driven web applications, ensuring efficient data access, integrity, and performance.\nDevelop solutions that interface with authentication and identification devices such as badges, tags, and other credentialing technologies.\nParticipate in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.\nConduct functionality, integration, and system testing in accordance with approved test plans.\nPerform software quality assurance (SQA) activities and document test results.\nModify and enhance applications based on testing outcomes, stakeholder feedback, and changing business requirements.\nConduct iterative demonstrations and validation sessions with stakeholders to verify functionality and design objectives.\nSupport the deployment of applications into production environments and obtain final customer approvals and acceptance.\nProduce weekly status reports detailing project progress, completed deliverables, risks, and upcoming activities.\nMaintain all source code, technical documentation, operational procedures, and system maintenance materials throughout the software lifecycle.\nEnsure all design, requirements, operational, and maintenance documentation remains current and complete.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and 5-15 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience\nU.S. citizenship is required per contract. \nExperience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications.\nStrong experience in requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions.\nExperience with systems engineering and solution design methodologies.\nProficiency in ASP.NET and C# application development.\nExperience with HTML5 web application development.\nExperience developing database-driven web applications and performing database integration.\nKnowledge of API development, integration, and consumption across multiple platforms.\nExperience integrating with ServiceNow through web services and APIs.\nExperience designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces and dashboards.\nFamiliarity with software quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and defect management.\nExperience creating technical documentation, including:Requirements Documentation\nHigh-Level Design Documents\nSystem Design Documents\nTest Plans and Test Results\nSoftware Quality Assurance Documentation\nOperations and Maintenance Documentation\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to gather, interpret, and document customer requirements.\nAbility to design scalable and maintainable software solutions.\nUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.\nAbility to conduct design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment.\nExperience working directly with customers and end users throughout the software development lifecycle.\nExperience with authentication, credentialing, or identification device integration (e.g., badges, tags, access control devices).\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative Agile team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing enterprise workflow automation solutions.\nExperience creating operational dashboards and data visualization solutions.\nFamiliarity with government, defense, security, or highly regulated environments.\nExperience supporting application deployment, production operations, and system maintenance activities.\nExperience integrating with third-party identity management or access control systems.\nAbout Us:\nEdgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
