Apply now to stay connected with upcoming openings in Pocatello, ID, Huntsville, AL, and Clarksburg, WV.\nResponsibilities\nSupporting highly available enterprise grade storage arrays and storage networking equipment. \nNAS/file storage protocols such as SMB/CIFS, NFS v3 and v4. \nISCSI and/or Fiber Channel Fabric connections to switches and arrays. \nFunctional knowledge and experience with Windows Server operating system and Active Directory/LDAP/DNS/NTP/Kerberos - specifically how these affect network file system storage access in Windows. \nWindows NTFS security settings, Windows ACLs, VSS snapshots. \nPOSIX OS ACLs/mode-bits as it pertains to file system permissions. \nManaging Windows Distributed File System (DFS) for SMB HA. \nExperience with file-based data migrations utilizing applications like Robocopy and Rsync. \nMethodical approach to change execution and implementation to avoid risk and downtime in an enterprise environment. \nUnderstanding of storage concepts like RAID, hard disk technology, disk/device tiering (HSM), disk cache, compression, data-deduplication, replication, snapshots, and host multipathing. \nUnderstanding of block, file, and object-based storage as well as their appropriate use cases. \nFamiliarity with virtualization, VMFS, vVols, specifically VMware VCenter/vSphere/vSAN as it pertains to thin provisioning storage and data reduction techniques. \nExperience with any of the following is a plus: Cohesity, Pure Storage FlashArray or FlashBlade, DellEMC, object protocols (S3), Dell Compellent, Western Digital Intelliflash, NetApp, EMC VNX, Isilon, Hitachi Arrays and Hitachi Command Suite. \nQualifications\n10+ years of storage related experience. \nMust have active Top-Secret Clearance or be eligible.\nAdvanced mainstream storage vendor certification preferred. \nBachelor’s degree preferred but not required.\nExperience managing and maintaining mainframe storage systems using the FICON (Fiber Channel Connection) protocol is highly preferred.\nAbout Us:\nEdgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
