You will have the opportunity to actively participate in our global transformation, by changing tomorrow now.\nRole Summary:\nThe Business Development Manager is responsible for originating, developing and advancing renewable energy projects from initial opportunity identification through to construction readiness. The role focuses on building a high-quality project pipeline, securing commercial opportunities, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading project development activities including permitting, land acquisition, grid interconnection, environmental assessments and commercial negotiations.\nWorking closely with cross-functional teams including Project Integration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Legal, the incumbent ensures projects progress efficiently through internal governance, financing and approval processes while meeting quality, compliance and contractual requirements. This role plays a critical part in delivering sustainable business growth by transforming development opportunities into commercially viable renewable energy assets.\nResponsibilities:\nIdentify and develop strong pipeline of large scale solar, stand alone BESS, onshore wind projects.\nDeveloping new projects opportunities and seeking approval for controlled pipelines.\nLead project development process including different permits for land, interconnection, environment assessment for the projects to achieve construction conditions.\nNegotiate with partners for best business outcomes; always protecting the organization’s interests.\nSupport in administering deals across all stages, from proposal to construction. \nEnsure adherence to quality standards and compliance in the preparation and submission of tender and contract documents. \nCollaborate with customers and internal Project Integration team to align project timelines; including working with internal Supply Chain team on procurement and deployment of materials/ equipment to optimize business results. \nReview project requirements e.g. capital planning and funding, project registration, project financing, including but not limited to internal approval processes such as credit information and contracts, as required by the company. \nRequirements:\nBachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent\n At least 3 years experience, with understanding of solar project technical evaluation\nDisplay good knowledge of the renewable (solar or wind) business regulations and trends/ industry practices, including understanding of energy and environmental issues.\nUnderstand financial modeling, and commercial activities such as funding arrangements and legal requirements. \nExperience in projects or business structuring for renewable business will be advantageous.\nAbility to manage project development process with various stakeholders and suppliers.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Software.\nValue alignment: stewardship, collaboration, innovation and with a spirit of excellence \nWhen you join EDP APAC, you will have access to:\nProfessional experience in a leading global company in the renewables industry with flexible work conditions \nRecognition through remuneration compatible with the role and other additional benefits \nOpportunities for personal and professional development, e.g. cross-cutting projects, mobilities and volunteering\nAbout EDP Group:\nAs a socially responsible company, we incorporate our values and practices with the principles of Diversity and Inclusion.
