The role will mainly entail the identification, quantification, mitigation and monitoring of financial risks impacting the EDP Group across all its geographies and businesses.\nThe person joining the team will also have the opportunity to conduct profitability risk analysis for new investments, to assist in the development of group-wide risk policies and to support on-demand strategic analyses that will be presented directly to the company's Top Management, providing significant internal visibility.\nThis job is aimed at resourceful individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and presentation skills and that possess positive attitude, willingness to learn and enjoy a collaborative working environment.\nWhat will you do:\nAnalysis, monitoring and mitigation of financial risks: foreign exchange (FX) rates, interest rates, inflation, commodities (raw materials), liquidity, among others;\nTracking of EDP's financial risk limits, main credit rating metrics and covenants, in collaboration with the Finance department;\nAnalysis of potential new investments from a risk-return perspective, including stressed scenario analysis for discussion in Investment Committees;\nAssistance in the preparation of executive reports on the main risk exposures for Top Management;\nDevelopment of automated risk data collection processes;\nCollaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the recurrent update, effective roll-out and backward testing of risk management policies;\nAd-hoc strategic risk analyses;\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nWork Site: Madrid (open to considering Lisbon or Porto)\nWhat are we looking for:\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management or related field.\n2-4 years combined in risk management, banking, financial markets, management consulting and/or overall quantitative modeling or statistical analysis.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).\nFamiliarity with Bloomberg Terminal functions and LSEG Workspace (previously Thomson Reuters Eikon) considered a plus;\nEnglish - C1\nSpanish and Portuguese would be a plus\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.\nCuriosity in understanding energy markets as well as financial market variables such as FX, interest rates and inflation.\nStructured and effective presentation/communication skills (written and oral).\nOutstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills, at all organizational levels.\nAbility to function with a high degree of autonomy, proactive attitude and drive to get things done in an efficient manner.\nMore than academic knowledge and technical skills, we are looking for ambitious people who are enthusiastic about the future and who bring human skills aligned with our purpose.\nEqual opportunities for all\nOur vision is that each person combines their unique characteristics and experiences to fulfill our mission of creating new energy for the planet.
