The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating career development initiatives within the American Job Center locations. The Program Manager leads a team dedicated to supporting participants in achieving their career goals. Responsibilities include developing and implementing career services programs, fostering connections with the team and participants, and facilitating various opportunities for jobseekers. This position works with internal and external partners to enhance career readiness and job placement outcomes.\nEssential Functions:\nInterpret and teach federal and state regulations to ensure that Career Advisors are effectively meeting contractual obligations for WIOA and JFES\nMaintain documentation expectations, including ensuring that files are certified in a timely manner and activities are properly created in CTHires and ETO\nEnsure that case notes are entered in a timely manner, providing a proper evaluation of the participant’s experience including proper grammar and syntax\nCoach Career Advisors in time management and organizational skills to support participants in achieving their goals\nCoach Case Managers and Career Advisors to improve their skills in data entry and quality to meet contractual obligations\nEnsure team member compliance with contract goals and WIOA and JFES regulations and guidelines\nMonitor and ensure positive outcomes of team performance and reports\nEnsure team members are submitting report responses and meeting deadlines\nAssist in the preparation of project reports as needed\nEnsure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract\nReview and audit, participant files, and case management tool to ensure compliance\nMeet with Career Advisors to review their caseloads at IEP review and determine progress toward job readiness for all participants in a timely manner\nConduct weekly performance reviews for team members and provide feedback, guidance, and accountability\nCollaborate with team on implementing processes that increase participant engagement\nEnhance career services programming through employer engagement, event coordination, and referral partnerships\nAnalyze service trends, team performance, and process bottlenecks\nCollaborate with leadership colleagues on best practices for all Pods\nRepresent the organization at workforce collaboration meetings, partner forums, and contract discussions\nParticipate in professional development and attend all required meetings\nTravel to provide leadership coverage at other AJCs offices in the North Central Region as needed\nOther opportunities as available\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's degree required\nAt least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in career services, human resources, or related fields\nExperience managing and motivating teams, setting goals, and providing guidance and support to team members\nIn-depth knowledge of career development theories, job market trends, and case management strategies\nExcellent communication skills: communicate clearly, listen actively, and convey information and feedback effectively\nExperience in program development and implementation to meet the career services goals of the organization\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential for report generation and data analysis\nDriver’s license and reliable transportation required\nBring your expertise to EDSI where you will be able to live our values every day: Show Up, Smile, and Support!\nEDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
