Staff in this position play a vital role in ensuring youth participants have safe, meaningful, and skill-building work-based learning opportunities.\nPurpose\nTo support the development, coordination, and oversight of high-quality worksite placements for paid work experience, internships, and other work-based learning opportunities. This includes ensuring compliance, fostering employer partnerships, and contributing to the success of summer youth initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nRecruit, screen, and approve worksites in accordance with WIOA and HGCY requirements\n\nConduct worksite inspections to ensure safe, supportive, and youth-friendly environments\n\nAssist employers with onboarding processes, supervision expectations, and worksite agreements\n\nMonitor youth placements to ensure meaningful skill development, workplace readiness, and occupational exposure\n\nTrack, document, andreportyouthskillsattainment and progress\n\nCoordinate and process youth timekeeping, payroll submissions, and attendance documentation\n\nServe as a point of contact for employers and youth, providing timely support and issue resolution\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support program operations and outcomes\n\nMinimum Requirements\nAssociate’s degree OR two (2) years of experience in:\n\nEmployer relations\n\nHuman resources\n\nWorkforce development\n\nYouth or young adult programming\n\nCustomer service or related fields\n\nNote:College coursework may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis\n\nKnowledge of workplace safety, supervision standards, and professional conduct expectations\n\nAbility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on program needs\n\nMust be able to travel within the West Region, includingBay City, Columbus, Sealy, Katy, Missouri City, Rosenberg, Waller, Wharton, and Southwest Houston\n\nStrong communication, documentation, and organizational skills\n\nMust pass a background check\n\nMust obtain youth-serving clearance (authorization to work with youth)\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience collaborating with employers, community partners, or training providers\n\nUnderstanding of occupational skills frameworks, career pathways, and work-based learning models\n\nStrong organizational, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities\n\nDemonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with diverse populations\n\nAbility to motivate youth, serve as a positive role model, and support goal achievement\n\nExperience in workforce development or youth employment programs\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform well in a fast-paced environment\n\nProven ability to meet or exceed performance goals and program expectations\n\nEDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
