While we work in different groups and on different things, we all strive every day to make the biggest difference we can for our students in our education system.\n\nAbout this role | Mō tēnei tūranga\n\n Permanent, full-time.\n Based in Albany, with some support for the Henderson area.\n Start 6 January 2027.\n\nDo you have a passion for working with data and an interest in growing your data extraction, reporting and analysis skills?\n\nThe Analyst role supports the work of the Ministry of Education’s regional teams by analysing and interpreting data, network trends and achievement information to inform and support internal and external work programmes.\nThe Analyst provides information, guidance and analytical support to relevant internal staff to support their work with the education sector including responding to requests for information and preparing written communications, working papers, reports and presentations.\n\nSalary range: $75 815 - $91,347 per annum plus KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.\n\nFor more details about the role, you can view the job description here.\n\nAbout you | Mōhou ake\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will need to have the following capabilities and competencies:\n\n recent, relevant experience in collecting, collating and analysing data and information\n a proven ability in using data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and to influence and guide organisational and system-level decision making\n strong written communication, numerical, statistical and information technology skills\n exceptional time management and work prioritisation skills\n excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across integrated teams\n the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga\n a full, current driver licence as travel within the region may be required\n the ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.\n\nIf you think that you can make a strong contribution to the success of this organisation, and you can demonstrate the required skills and attitude to work as part of our busy team, we encourage you to apply.\n\nAbout our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake\n\nThe Operations and Insights team is part of Te Mahau | Education Services, a frontline group that collectively provides leadership and integrated services, working with education providers, children and their whānau/families across the Albany and at times the Henderson areas. This includes services such as learning support, education advice and regulation functions for schools, kura, kōhanga and early learning services, and advice and support with curriculum.\n\nWe develop and harness relationships with communities at the regional and local level, including deep relationships with iwi and hapū.
