Key responsibilities

• Plan and present engaging Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) and Business Studies lessons aligned with CAPS and applicable IEB assessment requirements.
• Teach languages according to the school’s timetable and subject allocation.
• Connect classroom learning to practical business situations, entrepreneurship and ethical decision-making.
• Develop learners’ analytical thinking, financial understanding and examination techniques.
• Set, mark and moderate assessments, maintain accurate records and manage school-based assessment portfolios.
• Prepare Grade 12 learners thoroughly for IEB examinations.
• Provide academic support and enrichment to meet individual learning needs.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding learner progress.
• Participate in departmental planning, school activities and extramural programmes.
• Uphold the school’s Christian ethos and integrate biblical principles of integrity, stewardship and responsibility into teaching.
