The Senior Engineer will collaborate closely with New Product Development teams, R&D, manufacturing sites and peer automation teams to develop and implement automated solutions for our Global Operations.\nHow you’ll make an impact:\nDesign, develop, prototype, and implement automated manufacturing solutions for new and existing processes.\nDevelop proof of principle and proof of concept experiments to evaluate new automation technologies and design approaches.\nUse data and engineering analysis to troubleshoot complex equipment and process challenges and drive technical decisions.\nLead automation projects from concept and prototyping through integration, qualification, validation, and production implementation.\nLead the design, analysis, modification and integration of automation technologies including machine hardware, software, vision and electrical systems.\nIdentify and implement new technologies and engineering methods that improve automation capability, scalability, and manufacturing performance.\nPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to successfully deploy automation solutions.\nLead technical investigations involving equipment failures, non-conformances, corrective actions, and audit observations.\nLead improvement activities within the group to drive enhancements and improve efficiency.\nUtilize metrics to perform continuous improvement.\nWhat you’ll need (Required):\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific with 4 years of engineering automation experience.\nOnsite required to effectively collaborate with team.\nTravel up to 10% domestically and internationally.\nWhat else we look for (Preferred):\nAdvanced degree.\nKnowledge of applicable FDA regulations for medical device industry is a plus.\nDemonstrated proficiency and implementation track record in one or more of the following automation disciplines: mechatronics, mechanical design, programming (PLC, robotics, or vision), or electrical design including mastery of associated tools (Solidworks, etc.).\nProficiency with statistical methods and techniques, including MiniTab.\nSubstantial understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work.\nSubstantial understanding and knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, theories, and concepts relevant to automation.\nStrong documentation, written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills with proven record.\nUses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.\nAbility to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders.\nAligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.\nFor California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $108,000 to $153,000 (highly experienced). \nThe pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
