Join us in our shared mission of opening the world through education.\nWorking at EF\nCareer Progression at EF\nResponsibilities\nOpening and closing the school as needed, sharing emergency duty on a rota basis.\nProviding support for maintenance and cleaning issues, including coordination with cleaners and contractors.\nTaking pride in the appearance of the school and campus, ensuring buildings are customer-friendly and fit for purpose.\nPrioritizing health and safety, meeting accrediting body criteria, and conducting routine building checks.\nEnsuring excellent IT provision throughout the school and residence, collaborating with the Global IT department when necessary.\nLiaising with external maintenance contractors, managing maintenance stock, and performing decorating and paintwork as required.\nConducting safety checks, risk assessments, and acting as the designated Fire Officer and Health & Safety Officer.\nEnsuring classrooms and common areas are appropriately furnished and well-maintained.\nManaging maintenance issues, promptly addressing repairs, and monitoring school courtyard and social areas.\nHandling student inquiries and requests as required.\nTroubleshooting routine software and hardware problems for staff and students.\nEnsure that school’s budgetary targets for facilities and maintenance costs are met\nManage invoicing and timely payments to all EF’s suppliers related to the building.\nReview suppliers/contractors on a minimum annual basis to ensure that services are being correctly carried out and competitively priced.\nResponsible for budgeting, maintaining supplies, keeping supplies accessible and tidy, sourcing best buys.\nMaintain careful records of quotes, orders and invoices.\nCreating and reviewing risk assessments; ensure all external risk assessments are in place and updated.\nControl and check the running of site server rooms. \nPerform 24-hour rota emergency duties and available to attend site for out of hours emergencies as required.\nRequirements\nStrong organisational and administrative skills\nHighly motivated, proactive and positive, creative & energetic with lots of common sense as key\nExcellent attention to detail\nPrevious experience of and/or training in Health and Safety\nBasic skills in plumbing, decorating, garden & grounds maintenance, furniture assembly, general building work and DIY desired\nWilling to undertake health & safety and first aid in the workplace training\nKeen interest in IT, technology and willingness to learn\nExperience of working with external suppliers, negotiation skills a plus\nCreative approach to problem solving\nA positive attitude as well as a strong sense of ownership and the drive to succeed.\nCommitment to providing excellent customer service\nA flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential\nAll responsibilities will be undertaken in accordance with EF policy and legal frameworks\nHave the right to live and work in Ireland on commencement of employment\nClean Garda check and two references required\nWhy You’ll Love Working With EF\nInternational environment with diverse students and staff\nContinuous professional development and training opportunities\nRegular social events and team activities\nAmbition is nurtured and career development opportunities are provided\nStaff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition\nA culture that values innovation, ownership, and initiative\nEmployee assistance program\nAccess to EF Hello language learning platform\n-----------------------------\nEF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
