What you'll be doing

As our Software Engineer III, Backend - Consumer Wealth Domain, you’ll be the person who plays a key role in building and operating the backend services that enable millions of users to grow and manage their savings and investments seamlessly. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

• Own the Feature Lifecycle - Design, build, test, and operate backend services for savings and investment products-from initial technical design to production-using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.

• Build Scalable Wealth Products - Develop and maintain core functionalities like the "Invested Money Box", automated savings goals, and investment portfolios, ensuring high reliability and transactional consistency.

• Master a Modern Tech Stack - Take ownership of our AWS-based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and contribute to architectural improvements to ensure smooth integration across wealth-related microservices.

• Work in an AI-Powered Environment - Leverage AI tools daily to write and optimize code, speed up root cause analysis, and generate documentation, raising the bar for engineering efficiency.

• Solve Complex Financial Problems - Turn financial requirements into scalable technical solutions, balancing delivery speed with the extreme precision required by wealth management systems.

• Collaborate & Lead Quality - Work cross-functionally with Product and UX teams while actively contributing to code reviews, post-mortems, and refactoring initiatives to promote engineering best practices.

• Drive System Reliability - Debug complex issues across services, investigate production incidents, and share learnings with the team to continuously improve the health of our financial engines.

Who we're looking for

• Experience - You have at least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer in fast-paced environments, with a strong track record of building and maintaining scalable microservices.

• Technical Foundations - Solid expertise in Java & Spring Boot, with exposure to cloud environments (AWS is a plus) and relational databases.

• Financial Precision - You care deeply about performance, data integrity, and transactional consistency-essential when handling users' savings and investments.

• Teamwork and Communication - You excel at cross-functional collaboration and can communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical peers.

• Passion and Language Skills - You are passionate about FinTech, wealth management, or startup environments and are fluent in English.

Salary: €45,000 - €53,000 gross per annum

This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria for the role's core requirements. However, we do not believe in putting a ceiling on talent. The final compensation package is tailored according to your unique experience and expertise.
