Efficient's Field Application Engineers are the technical bridge between our customers and our engineering team, guiding customers from first evaluation through design-in and production. This position is a unique opportunity to shape how a new processor architecture is adopted in the market as part of a highly interdisciplinary team, helping to demonstrate the value of Efficient's breakthrough technology. You'll work directly with customers and help write the playbook: building reference designs, demos and application notes, and feeding what you hear from customers straight back to our Product and Engineering teams.\nIf you have experience as a Field Application Engineer who wants to be part of an intensely skilled team and wants to have an immediate impact on the growth of our Sales organization, we want to talk with you!\nKey Responsibilities \nCreate and present Efficient's technical value proposition to customers, from engineers to executives \nUnderstand customer applications and system requirements, and propose optimal Efficient-based solutions \nPartner with Regional Sales Managers, distributors and representatives to secure design-wins and drive them to production \nProvide hands-on technical support throughout the design cycle, from evaluation and board bring-up to debugging and optimization \nBuild custom demos, proofs of concept and benchmarks that show Efficient's performance and energy advantage \nRespond quickly and accurately to technical inquiries, RFQs and customer escalations, coordinating with internal engineering as needed \nAuthor reference designs, application notes and training materials for customers and channel partners \nServe as the voice of the customer, feeding requirements and competitive insights back to Product and Engineering \nBuild and maintain strong technical relationships with key customer engineering teams\nRequired Qualifications & Experience Requirements\nBS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field is required.\nMinimum 4 years of embedded software development experience with an understanding of embedded hardware including digital and analog circuits.\nExperience with ARM or RISC-V microcontrollers.\nProficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems; Python for scripting, tooling and test automation \nHands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers and JTAG/SWD debuggers\nMinimum 2 years of successfully supporting customer product development.\nExperience working with embedded software, sensor fusion algorithms, edge AI models and interfacing with wireless modules or wireless SOCs.\nExperience at a semiconductor company or MCU vendor supporting design-wins \nBackground in target markets such as industrial IoT, wearables, smart home, medical or defense\nWillingness to travel to customer sites, up to 25% of time.\nPersonal Skills Required\nStrong customer communication skills in English, written and spoken.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.\nAbility to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders\nComfortable presenting to customers, including live demos and whiteboard sessions \nStrong troubleshooting skills and persistence with ambiguous or undocumented problems \nComfortable in a fast-paced startup where processes are still being built \nAble to juggle multiple customer engagements and prioritize by business impact\nWe offer a competitive base salary for this role, generally ranging from $160,000 to $230,000, plus a 10% annual bonus, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.
