This is an opportunity to become a trusted adviser to senior leaders, managers and employees, and to turn business priorities into practical, people-focused solutions.\nYou will combine strategic business partnering with hands-on delivery across employee relations, performance, organisational change, employment-law compliance and employee experience. The role is based in either New York or Chicago. New York-based colleagues are expected in the New York office three days per week. Chicago-based colleagues will travel to the New York office for one week each month.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nBusiness Partnership & Stakeholder Management\nBuild trusted relationships with US leaders, managers and employees, acting as their first point of contact for people matters.\n\nTranslate business plans, workforce needs and organisational risks into clear, practical people plans.\n\nCoach managers through team dynamics, feedback, employee development and sensitive conversations.\n\nEmployee Relations & Compliance\nManage employee relations matters with sound judgement, appropriate documentation, confidentiality and consistency.\n\nProvide practical guidance on applicable US federal, state and local employment law, company policy and HR best practice; engage Legal or external counsel where needed.\n\nSupport managers on performance, conduct, probation, grievance, leave and reasonable-accommodation matters.\n\nPeople Programmes & Employee Experience\nPartner with Talent Acquisition, Finance and the global People team on workforce planning, talent, reward and organisational change initiatives.\n\nUse people data and employee feedback to identify trends, mitigate risks and improve the employee experience.\n\nContribute to scalable policies, processes, manager guidance and local engagement initiatives across the US business.\n\nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nAt least 4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role with significant business-partnering responsibility.\n\nWorking knowledge of US federal, state and local employment law, with the judgement to identify risk and seek specialist advice when appropriate.\n\nExperience managing employee relations and advising managers on performance and sensitive people matters.\n\nStrong stakeholder-management, coaching and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.\n\nComfort working in a fast-paced environment and balancing strategic priorities with hands-on operational delivery.\n\nStrong analytical skills and confidence using HRIS and people data.\n\nDiscreet, proactive and highly organised, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.\n\nAuthorised to work in the United
