Click here to learn more about EFI Global.\nPRIMARY PURPOSE:To provide field services and collaborates with scientists and forensic experts on complex and detailed environmental investigation projects; to provide consulting services to clients regarding environmental health and safety (EH&S) issues in accordance with assignments from clients or assigned legal counsel.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nConducts and leads microbial, lead, asbestos, and industrial hygiene inspections and sampling. Performs indoor air quality investigations.\n\nDevelops protocol and abatement specifications and acts as a consultant on other industrial hygiene services projects.\n\nProcesses and dispose of samples and evidence in accordance withprovincialandindustry standards.\n\nPrepares inspection reports based on scientific findings and scope of work per project.\n\nPrepares chain of custody forms for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms.\n\nPerforms more complex collection of field and/or laboratory data and more complex laboratory testing\n\nDocuments and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis, as applicable, for services rendered for external clients.\n\nGathers detailed notes, takes photographs, and documents temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content measurements.\n\nPromotes and markets utilization of the company’s investigative services by the insurance industry within assigned territory.\n\nProvidessupport to Env. Project Managers on larger more complex environmental projects\n\nDevelops and maintains positive relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and prospects.\n\nEnsures industry acceptable methodology for performance of services is followed.\n\nObserves contractor work on projects and interacts with clients and contractor or subcontractor representatives accordingly.\n\nADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nComplies with Company’s Safety Programs/Standards\n\nProperly utilizes Personal Protection Equipment\n\nExercises appropriate use, care, and maintenance of equipment (company owned or leased)\n\nComplies with company standards and best practices regarding the storage of equipment\n\nComplies with all Human Resources Policies, Programs, and Initiatives\n\nMeets or exceeds productivity levels and daily time submission as determined by manager.\n\nAll other duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Licensing\nBachelor's degree from an accredited universityor two-year diploma program from an accredited collage.Certification in Asbestosand/or mould assessment/remediationpreferred.\nExperience\nOne (1) to three(3) yearsminimumof experience in at least one of the following disciplines: asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and project monitoring, microbial and IAQ investigations, industrial hygiene surveys, soil/water sampling or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required. General knowledge of buildings and building constructionis valuable.\nSkills & Knowledge\nKnowledge and understanding of current industry standards, regulations, techniques, and equipment for performance of Emergency Response and IAQ services\n\nExcellent oral and written communication\n\nPC literate, including Microsoft Office products\n\nGood organizational skills\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills\n\nAnalytical and interpretive skills\n\nProblem solving skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and set priorities\n\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment\n\nAbility to meet or exceed Performance Competencies\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nTravel, at least, 30-40% of the time.
