EFI’s combination of global solutions and local expertise has earned the firm a reputation for delivering timely responses that consistently meet our clients’ expectations-anytime, anywhere.\nPRIMARY PURPOSE : To provide clients with investigating engineering services related to events, systems, devices, and/or failures and providing expert opinions.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nSurveys losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings\n\nConductsinvestigations to determine and document the scope of damage.\n\nInvestigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.\n\nAnalyzes and documents the failure analysis and causation of failures.\n\nCollaborateswith other investigators to produce detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of losses and damages.\n\nServes as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.\n\nDocuments andmaintainsbillable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects for clients.\n\nCollaborates withEFI Global’ snational team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.\n\nFollows industry acceptable methodology for performance of services.\n\nDevelops and maintains positive relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and prospects.\n\nLocal marketing and sales activities\n\nADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nComplieswith Company’s Safety Programs/Standards\n\nProperly utilizes Personal Protection Equipment\n\nExercises appropriate use, care, and maintenance of equipment (company owned or leased)\n\nComplieswith company standards and best practices regarding the storage of equipment\n\nMeets or exceeds productivity levels and daily time submission as determined by manager.\n\nComplieswith all Human Resources Policies, Programs, and Initiatives\n\nAll other duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Licensing\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineeringfrom a recognized university and a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of the posted position.\n\nExperience\nFive(5) +years ofengineeringexperience or equivalent combination of experience and education requiredwithsome introductiontointhe forensic sciences discipline.\n\nSkills & Knowledge\nExcellent oral and written communication\n\nPC literate, including Microsoft Office products\n\nAnalytical and interpretiveskill\n\nStrong organizational skills\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills\n\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment\n\nAbility to meet or exceed Performance Competencies\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nTravel, at least, 30-40% of the time.
