Click here to learn more about EFI Global.\nPRIMARY PURPOSE: The Forensic Engineering Consultant conducts forensic investigations-including failure analysis, evidence examination, and report authoring-to support the evaluation of failures, insurance claims, and legal matters. This role builds expertise in specific engineering disciplines, supports licensed engineers and expert teams, contributes to sales and industry events, and participates in ongoing technical training to advance professional knowledge and skills.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nConducts forensic investigation (failure analysis, interviews, evidence examinations, evidence testing, research), and authoring engineering reports related to the evaluation of failures, insurance claims and legal matters.\n\nSupports licensed engineers and local office as appropriate related to forensic investigations, as noted above.\n\nBuilds expertise in specific engineering disciplines to advance skills and experience.\n\nAssists expert teams and sales teams with sales, growth, and industry events\n\nWrites, reviews, and co-authors reports, research, and protocols.\n\nAttends and presents internal technical training in areas of expertise as they acquire training and become more knowledgeable and skilled in various areas.\n\nADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nTravel as required.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Licensing\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil or Structural, Engineering is required.\nExperience\nFour (4) years of experience in structural engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education required.\nSkills & Knowledge\nExcellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.\n\nPC literate, including Microsoft Office products.\n\nAnalytical and interpretive skills.\n\nStrong organizational skills.\n\nAbility to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports.\n\nAbility to work in a team environment.\n\nAbility to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhen applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.\nMental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines\nPhysical:\nMust be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.\n\nMust be able to kneel, squat or bend.\n\nMust be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions.\n\nHave the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reaching/working overhead\n\nBe able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds\n\nBe able to push/pull up to 100 pounds\n\nBe able to drive up to 4 hours per day.\n\nMust have continual use of manual dexterity.\n\nAuditory/Visual: Hearing, vision and talking\nNEXT STEPS\nIf your application is selected to advance to the next round, you will receive an e-mail notification or phone call from a recruiter to schedule an initial call.\n#LI-SC2 #LI-Remote\nAs required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings.
