The role connects source systems, Lakehouse/data engineering, MDM, integration, governance, security and downstream consumption into a coherent, supportable architecture.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDefine and maintain the target data/MDM architecture, architecture principles and decision records.\n\nOwn the canonical master-data model, global identifier strategy and source- system cross-reference approach.\n\nDefine the boundary between pre-MDM standardization/data-quality processing and MDM mastering capabilities.\n\nLead architecture for ADLS Gen2, Azure Databricks/Spark, Profisee MDM, Microsoft Purview and integration services.\n\nDefine coexistence/consolidation patterns, controlled source-system write- back and downstream consumption.\n\nGuide matching, survivorship, attribute authority, stewardship and Golden\n\nRecord design with business/governance leads.\n\nReview source-system integration patterns including REST APIs, CDC, files and event-driven integration.\n\nEnsure security, privacy, lineage, auditability and regional/data-residency requirements are designed in.\n\nChair or lead technical Design Authority and maintain the architecture decision backlog.\n\nParticipate in Steering committee forums for strategic decisions.\n\nMentor engineers and ensure architecture is implementable rather than conceptual only.\n\nMust-Have Experience & Skills\n\n8+ years in enterprise data engineering/architecture with significant solution architecture responsibility.\n\nStrong Azure data-platform architecture experience.\n\nStrong Databricks/Spark, Delta Lake/lakehouse and ADLS Gen2 understanding.\n\nPractical MDM knowledge: canonical models, entity resolution, Golden Records, survivorship, source authority, stewardship and global IDs.\n\nStrong API/integration architecture and distributed-system design.\n\nAbility to work with security, privacy, governance and multi-region constraints.\n\nStrong stakeholder communication and architecture documentation.\n\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have\n\nHands-on Profisee experience or another enterprise MDM platform.\n\nMicrosoft Purview/data catalog / lineage experience.\n\nExperience with large global Customer/Supplier/Organisation master-data programmes.\n\nAzure architecture certification and/or Databricks
