Check out these resources in addition to the job description.\nMeet Egen\nLife at Egen\nCulture and Values at Egen\nCareer Development at Egen\nBenefits at Egen\nAbout the job:\nLead and mentor a team of application engineers, providing technical guidance, architectural direction, code reviews, and support for complex engineering challenges\nDesign, develop, and maintain production-ready applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and RESTful APIs\nApply strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native engineering principles to build scalable and resilient applications\nLead application assessment, containerization, and migration from VM-based environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including application configurations, secrets management, runtime readiness, and test automation\nGuide application deployment and troubleshooting in Kubernetes environments, including Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, resource configurations, and application runtime issues\nDevelop and implement unit, integration, and API testing strategies to ensure application quality, reliability, and production readiness\nDesign and maintain application data-access layers integrating SQL and NoSQL databases\nImplement application observability practices, including centralized logging, monitoring, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting\nCollaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to establish engineering standards, reusable solutions, and deployment best practices\nPlan and coordinate engineering activities, manage technical dependencies, and guide the team in delivering application modernization initiatives across a portfolio of 500+ applications\nLeverage agentic engineering tools, including Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Gemini, to accelerate code development, modernization, testing, documentation, and engineering automation\nUtilize GCP as the primary cloud platform;
